Weirding Sustainability Festival | Against the Flow: A psychogeographic walk to Nine Wells

An event by the LEAP Lab. Join us for a walk from Cambridge to Nine Wells, moving against the flow of water and time to explore shifting landscapes, hidden histories, and threatened ecologies. Led by James Norton and Emma Linford, we will re-map the terrain through sensory wandering, storytelling, and soft cartographies, creating a shared map of deep time, myth, matter, and ecological futures. This walk will use creative cartographies as alternative ways of mapping interstitial urban edges, exploring landscape as palimpsest: layered with hidden histories, contested ecologies, suburban weirdness, and sacred sites. Along the route we will pass Common Ground, allotments, manufactured meadows, lost communities, archaeological traces, the Cold War nuclear bunker, and the expanding infrastructur
