About the event This interdisciplinary and bilingual two-day conference, supported by PSL-Cambridge funding, will bring together scholars in all areas of French Studies working across French and English on research concerning the ocean in art and literature. We will explore the notion of “thalassopoétique / thalassopoetics”, a term that denotes work built on the concerns of the Blue Humanities, but with a sharper focus on close reading and analysis, as well as maintaining specific historical context while working in comparative ways.
